Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were infants within 28 days after birth, admitted to the neonates ward for at least 24 hours and whose parents had agreed to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Infants were not included if they had criteria as follows: their gestational age or birth weight lost; they had severe congenital malformation that anthropometry measurement cannot be measured; the age was less than 14 days and the weight did not return to the birth weight on discharge.
