Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients aged >= 18 years; 2. Patients who are admitted to ICU for the first time; 3. Patients who are expected to stay in ICU for more than 72 hours; 4. The patients who are conscious and can respond to at least 3 simple commands clearly: open or close eyes, look at me, extend tongue, nod, frown; 5. Informed consent of patients or their agents.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with incomplete limbs; 2. Patients with neuromuscular diseases, such as myasthenia gravis, Guillain Barre syndrome, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis; 3. Patients with abnormal intracranial or spinal cord conditions that affect motor function (such as intracranial pressure rise, stroke moderate); 4. Patients who have had gastrointestinal surgery within one month; 5. Patients with hyperthyroidism and other endocrine diseases affecting nutrition and metabolism; 6. Patients who are expected to be unable to carry out nutritional support within 48 hours after staying in ICU; 7. Pregnancy; 8. Patients with advanced cancer; 9. Patients with poor prognosis or short-term death.
