Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for ALCET: 1. Bilateral total LSCD secondary to chemical burns; 2. >=6 months after injury with stable ocular surface; 3. abided by medications as instructed;with regular eyelids, Schirmer test score more than 5mm. Inclusion criteria for PKP: 1. performed approximately 6 months after ALCET; 2. Ocular surface in homeostasis without signs of recurrent LSCD; 3. best corrected visual acuity less than 20/200; 4. ith full-layer corneal stromal opacification, scars, or swelling ;subjective intention of vision improvement.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. With severe systemic disease(s) or had contraindications of steroids and immunosuppressants; 2. previous limbal tissue transplantation, ACLET or COMET, or had other intraocular surgeries, like cataract extraction, or anti-glaucoma surgery etc.
