Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: adult cirrhotic patients with gastroesophageal varices hospitalized for endoscopic intervention under anesthesia, limited to participants with an American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grade of I to III, Child A-B, Age 18-80 years old and BMI 18-27.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: We excluded patients who were with gastrointestinal hemorrhage in acute stage, with severe anemia (hemoglobin less than 70g /L), with known or predicted difficult airway, with moderate or severe heart and lung function impairment, with asthma, or with hepatic encephalopathy.
