20 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. One hundred and twenty healthy adults and 50 patients (25 cases for either thoracic or lumbar) with acute osteoporotic vertebral fracture (OVF) are about to be prospectively enrolled in this study. All the subjects should sign the informed consent. 2. Patients who underwent bone mineral density scan and other imaging examinations from January 2014 to March 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Combined with bone tumors or tuberculosis in target spine; 2. Thyroid dysfunction or blood diseases; 3. Uncontrolled diabetes and kidney disease in the last 2 years; 4. Long-term use of drugs affecting bone metabolism, or long-term use of vitamin D and calcium supplements; 5. Continuous decline in mobility or forced long-term braking in the last 2 years; 6. Recent spinal fractures caused by severe violence such as car accidents or injuries; 7. Previous spinal fractures or severe spinal malformations.
