Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients recorded in a previously established clinical database from the Center of Infectious Diseases, West China Hospital of Sichuan University; 2. Patients treated with plasma exchange-centered artificial liver support system therapy 3. Patients had chronic HBV infection.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients treated with non- PE-centered ALSS therapy were excluded. Patients with liver cancer or post-liver lobectomy, post-liver transplantation or without HBV infection were also excluded.
