Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Premolars, molars; 2. Patients with superficial, middle or deep caries (Class 1 and class 2 cavities) in the occlusal surface or adjacent surface, but with intact occlusal surface, who need resin filling treatment; 3. The patients with normal pulp activity showed by clinical manifestations and X-ray examination; 4. Patients with good oral health; 5. Healthy patients who agreed to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. The affected tooth has lost its normal occlusal surface shape; 2. Tooth pulpitis or apical periodontitis; 3. With severe disorders of occlusion; 4. With severe periodontal disease.
