Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria included age older than 13 years, symptomatic acalculous cholecystitis, symptomatic gallstones, asymptomatic gallstones if the patient preferred LC, GBLs greater than or equal to 10 mm, gallbladder adenoma polyps diagnosed by imaging tests, availability of a caregiver at the patients residence after discharge, patient residence less than 30 min from a hospital, and consent for ALC by patients.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria included suspected gallbladder carcinoma, cholangiolithiasis, obstructive jaundice, acute cholecystitis, acute pancreatitis, acute cholangitis, comorbidities that contraindicate general anaesthesia and LC, and ASA grade greater than II.
