20 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy subjects: (1) Aged 20-80 years old; (2) life-long non-smokers; (3) No Long-term exposure to harmful gas or particles; (4) No history or symptoms of chronic cardiopulmonary diseases (chronic bronchitis, asthma, lung cancer, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic heart diseases, etc.); (5) No abnormal findings on physical examination; (6) No upper or lower respiratory infections within the last 4 weeks before the visit. 2. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients: (1) Clinically diagnosed as COPD according to GOLD 2019; (2) Aged 40-80 years old; (3) Outpatients; (4) No exacerbation within the last 4 weeks before the visit; (5) With available spirometry reports in the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in 2016 to 2019; 3. Asthma patients: (1) Clinically diagnosed as Asthma according to GINA 2019; (2) Aged 20-80 years old; (3) Outpatients; (4) With available spirometry reports in the first affiliated hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in 2016 to 2019.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Healthy subjects: (1) Abnormal findings on chest radiography; (2) With diseases or histories of surgery potentially affecting lung function; (3) Using ß-blocker treatment; (4) Pregnant or epileptic. 2. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma patients: (1) With histories of surgery potentially affecting lung function; (2) Using ß-blocker treatment; (3) Pregnant or epileptic.
