Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) confirmed bilateral severe or profound sensorineural hearing loss; 2) received completed auditory evaluation; 3) received formal Gesell development evaluations; 4) received computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); 5) all the tests were evaluated before cochlear implantation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Evidence of major secondary disabilities such as white matter diseases, nervous system disease, physical disability.
