18 Years to 70 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. aged 18 years and over; 2. Have at least 20 natural teeth, excluding third molars; 3. High gender ratio matching; 4. With good physical health; 5. With no periodontal disease treatment experience in one year; 6. No antibiotics used in half a year; 7. Volunteerly complete clinical examination and provide oral sample resources; 8. With good compliance, and can return to the appointment as scheduled.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Those who are unable to maintain their oral hygiene during pregnancy; 2. Those who have received systematic periodontal basic treatment or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or antibiotics within six months, 3. Who had surgical periodontal therapy within twelve months; 4. Patients who have a systemic disease other than diabetes (eg, cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, or immune disease) may affect the development of periodontal disease; 5. Patients with severe diabetic complications (retinopathy, liver and kidney disease, neuropathy).
