Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients with ALS and ineffective cough

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders other than ALS presence of tracheostomy severe bulbar involvement inability to perform cough assisting hemoptysis or pneumothorax in the six months preceding the enrollment
