Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: T2DM patients: 1. Aged >= 30 years when first diagnosed with T2DM, and aged >= 55 years at registration; 2. Accompanied by a major cardiovascular history (stroke, myocardial infarction, hospitalization with transient ischemia, unstable angina pectoris, coronary heart disease, peripheral vascular regeneration, secondary vascular disease with amputation) or at least one other cardiovascular disease risk Factors such as a large amount of proteinuria (urine protein creatinine ratio> 300 µg / mg), proliferative retinopathy, retinal photocoagulation therapy, macular edema, blindness caused by diabetes), smoking, total cholesterol> 6.0 mml / L, HDL 30-300 µg / mg) and duration of diabetes >=10 years; 3. Registered patients >= 65 years old. Healthy patients: 1. Any gender, aged 30-79 years; 2. With normal blood glucose, blood pressure, blood lipids, and BMI greater than 18.0 and less than 24.0 can be included.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: T2DM patients: 1. Certain contraindications to ACEI inhibitor therapy; 2. Except for the use of perindopril 2mg / day or 4mg / day, a definitive indication for ACE inhibitors; 3. With definite indication or contraindication for thiazide diuretics; 4. With affirmative contraindications or indications of glizide; 5. Positive indications or positive contraindications to reduce HbA1c to 6.5% or below; 6. Patients who currently need long-term treatment with full dose or bedtime insulin; 7. Patients have been participating in other research projects (current or up to last month); 8. Other reasons that do not meet the criteria for participation in the study. Healthy patients: 1. With history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia; 2. With history of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, other diseases such as liver disease, peptic ulcer, tumor, etc..
