Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) chronic renal failure and continuous hemodialysis was require; (2) a positive Allen test result that indicated a patent palmar arch; (3) a radial artery >=2 mm in diameter and free of heavy calcifications; (4) a patent ulnar artery free of heavy calcifications; (5) a cephalic vein >=1.5 mm in diameter and >=10 cm in length; (6) patients were willing to take participate in the trial and could comply with the proposed regular follow-up.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) plan to perform a renal transplantation; (2) poor vascular condition to performed the forearm arteriovenous fistula; (3) infection in the forearm; (4) patients were diagnosed with severe heart failure and could not tolerate operation; (5) serious forearm injury or paitents had underwent ipsilateral forearm vascular opertion; (6) plan to get pregnant within one year.
