Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Nulliparas; 2) with singleton cephalic presentation; 3) term pregnancy (more than 37 weeks); 4) with regular uterine contractions; 5) intent to receive epidural labor analgesia; 6)after the evaluation of anesthesia clinic; 7) signed the informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Parturients who had a baseline temperature of 37.5 degrees C and above; 2) contraindications to intraspinal analgesia; 3)pregnancy-related complication such as diabetes mellitus or preeclampsia; 4) patients with active cardiac, pulmonary, neurologic disease ,metabolic disease; 5) patients who received medications known to affect body temperature (acetaminophen, ibuprofen or prostaglandin); 6) parturients who delivered within 2 hours or over 8 hours after analgesia and needed for cesarean delivery.
