Age
60 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged >= 60 years; (2) Right handedness; (3) Meeting the criteria of DSM-V for major depressive disorder (MDD); (4) A total score of >=17 on HAMD-17; (5) A stable antidepressant dosage for at least 2 weeks prior to the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) A DSM-V diagnosis of other than MDD or anxiety disorders; (2) Neurodegenerative diseases; (3) History of brain trauma or brain surgery; (4) Severe physical disease; (5) Any contraindication to MRI; (6) History of epileptic seizure.
