Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ATCCS group: (1) With a clear history of trauma; (2) motor impairments in the upper limbs are greater (by at least 10 points in the ASIA motor score) than those in the lower limbs; (3) different degrees of sensory abnormalities with a variable effect on bladder function. Subjects included in the control group: Normal neurologic examinations, including normal muscle strength, sensory function and deep tendon reflexes in the lower extremities.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria of both subject groups included previous spinal surgery, polyneuropathies, focal neuropathies, peripheral vascular disease, muscle disorders, diabetes, diseases of the central nervous system, syringomyelia, spinal cord tumor/inflammation, and spinal deformities.
