Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. aged>75 years; 2. pathologically proven esophageal carcinoma; 3. there are measurable or evaluable disease according to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1; 4. considered medically inoperable or refuse operation; 5. Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status (ECOG PS) of 1 or less; 6. No previous radiotherapy or chemotherapy; 7. no other active malignant tumor; 8. adequate organ and marrow function; 9. All patients understand and provided written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe cachexia; 2. Concomitant radiotherapy contraindications such as esophageal tracheal fistula, esophageal vascular fistula, etc; 3. Severe infection or heart, lung, liver, kidney disease; 4. Severe mental illness; 5. Researchers believe patients are not suitable for enrollment.
