Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All participants aged above 60 years should meet the following inclusion criteria: (1) scored 18 to 25 on the Hong Kong version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (HK-MoCA) for the MCI group, and scored 26 or above for the healthy control group; (2) intact finger dexterity measured by the Nine Hole Peg Test (within 22.9 seconds) and visual acuity ability tested with the standard logarithmic visual acuity chart test (>0.8).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All participants who received musical instrument training for three months or longer and were diagnosed with any major physical illness, mental disorder, or other disability.
