Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Male or female, aged 35-70 years old; 2) According to the 1999 WHO diabetes diagnostic criteria, who has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for more than 6 months. 3) No change in diabetes medication in the past 3 months; 4) Patients with clinical diagnosis of "chronic periodontitis" with reference to the 1999 International Classification of Periodontal Diseases, and meet the individual-level severe periodontitis criteria proposed by the 2017 Chinese expert consensus: two or more teeth have: a. Probing depth (PD)> 6mm; b. Loss of attachment (AL) >= 5mm; c. Alveolar bone resorption exceeds 1/2 of root length. If there are only two affected teeth, the two affected teeth must be non-adjacent and at least in different quadrants. 5) There are >= 20 remaining teeth in the mouth. 6) Patients informed consent .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with extremely poor blood glucose control (fasting blood glucose > 11.4 mmol / L); 2) Rheumatism, rheumatoid, nephritis and other immune system diseases; 3) Those who have taken anticoagulants regularly in the past 3 months; 4) Those who used antibiotics in the past 3 months; 5) Treatment history of periodontal disease in the past 6 months; 6) Smoking more than 10 cigarettes / day in the past 6 months; 7) Pregnant women or women planning pregnancy during the study.
