18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) aged 18 to 85 years old; (2) the study complies with the Helsinki declaration and Chinese regulations on clinical trial research, and the patient or his or her family members know and agree to participate in the study; (3) solid organ transplantation has been performed; (4) acute respiratory failure on admission to ICU or during ICU stay (all the following criteria were met: 1) dyspnea in resting condition, RR>25 bpm; 2) PaCO2=10 l/min).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) a history of chronic respiratory disease (except for patients who have received lung transplantation); (2) contraindication of the use of the NIV (cardiac arrest, coma, violent vomiting, obstruction of the upper respiratory tract, pneumothorax without drainage, severe facial trauma); (3) isolated cardiogenic pulmonary edema; (4) urgent need for intubation; (5) severe shock; (6) impaired consciousness (GCS<=12) or agitation; (7) post surgical setting <7 days; (8) pregnancy or breastfeeding; (9) Do-not-intubate (DNI) patients; (10) have participated in this research; (11) do not agree to participate in the experiment.
