Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Conformity to the COPD diagnosis defined based on the GOLD criteria (FEV1% <70%). Airflow limitation that is not fully reversible. Progressive airflow limitation associated with an abnormal inflammatory response of the lungs to noxious particles or gases, primarily caused by cigarette smoking.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Admission to hospital for any cardiac condition in the past month; 2. Heart rate greater than 120 beats per min; 3. Subjects who are receiving antibacterial chemotherapy for tuberculosis; or pregnant or breastfeeding; 4. Patients with a history of asthma or other associated lung condition, previous lung surgery, lung cancer.
