Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged >=18 years; secondary to intraventricular hemorrhage or subarachnoid hemorrhage; Evans index>0.3; patients who were demonstrated communication of the ventricles with the spinal cisterns through lumbar drainage.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Idiopathic hydrocephalus; congenital hydrocephalus; obstructive hydrocephalus; patients who refuse to shunt surgery.
