18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Inpatients or outpatients in Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University and meet the diagnostic criteria for the stroke at the fourth national conference of cerebrovascular disease in 1995; 2. Patients were examined by CT or MRI and diagnosed by attending physician or above; 3. Patients were first onset; 4. Patients disease duration>7 days; 5. Patients aged older than 18 years; 6. Patients with hemiplegic limb impairment; 7. Patients volunteer to participate in this study; 8. Patients are conscious and in stable condition.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients had a history of transient ischemic attack(TIA); 2. Patients with malignant or rapidly progressive disease; 3. Patients main functional disorder was not caused by stroke; 4. Stroke patients with important organ failure or in a critical condition; 5. Patients with intellectual disability, severe cognitive disorder or communication disorders; 6. Patients with other conditions that affect upper limb function like fracture, inflammation or pain; 7. Patients declined on their behalf or patients was unable to complete this study.
