Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Pediatric patients undergoing cardiopulmonary bypass in our hospital were eligible for participation if they met the following criteria: 1. aged <=3 year; 2. undergoing elective cardiac surgery under CPB; 3. ASA I - III level.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. redo cardiac surgery; 2. severe renal disease (receipt of dialysis or a serum creatinine level >3.0 mg/dL); 3. current infections (e.g. sepsis); 4. preoperative treatment with gentamicin and vancomycin in the last seven days; 5. preoperative treatment with radiotherapy; 6. preoperative treatment with extracorporeal life support; 7. incomplete clinical data that statistical analysis could not be completed; 8. deep hypothermic CPB; 9. emergent surgery.
