Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 16-65 years old; 2. patients newly diagnosed with GD; 3. thyroid enlargement of Grade 1 or 2; 4. the patient has not been treated with any antithyroid drugs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. nodular goitre associated with hyperthyroidism or hyperthyroidism for any reasons other than GD; 2. moderate or severe thyroid-associated eye diseases; 3. thyroid enlargement of Grade 3 or above; 4. hyperthyroid heart disease or atrial fibrillation; 5. recurrent GD; 6. pregnant and lactating women; 7. abnormal liver function, with transaminase level 3 times higher than the upper normal limit; 8. hyperthyroid crisis.
