A group:patients received potassium-containing carbohydrate electrolyte solution (5 mL/kg containing 14.2% carbohydrates and 1 g of potassium,15min) 2 hours before surgery
B group:patients received potassium-containing carbohydrate electrolyte solution 2 hours and 12 hours before surgery.

18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Provided informed written consent; 2. Aged 18–80 years; 3. Patients scheduled for laparoscopic colorectal surgery; 4. Preoperative potassium: 3.5~5.0mmol/L; 5. American Society of Anesthesiologists Physical Status I to III.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients refused to participate in the study; 2. Comorbid intestinal obstruction and gastric emptying disorder 3. Diabetes; 4. Body mass index > 30 kg/m2; 5. Severe renal insufficiency, or long-term use of potassium-sparing diuretics; history of neurological or mental illness or other reasons for not cooperating with the participant.
