Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) aged >=18 years old; (2) patients diagnosed with community-acquired pneumonia according to the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of community-acquired pneumonia in Chinese adults; (3) death/survival information available after 28 days of hospitalization.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) recently received chemotherapy, corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive therapy; (2) had been exposed to antibiotic treatment within 14 days before enrollment; (4) being on hemodialysis or having a serum creatinine level of > 1.5 mg/dl; (5) severe infection; (6) immune dysfunction; (7) patients with poor compliance such as inability or unwillingness to contact after discharge; (8) had taken other experimental drugs or was participating in other clinical trials within 1 month before being enrolled in the study; (9) the competent physician considers it inappropriate to participate in the clinical researcher.
