Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All adult patients with normal sinus rhythm prior to undergoing first time cardiac surgery during our research time in Beingjing Anzhen hospital cardiac surgery centers.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with emergent cardiac surgery; 2. Patients had active infection or chronic inflammatory disorders or impaired immune system, or was on anti-inflammatory therapy; 3. Patients with autoimmune diseases and cachexia; 4. Patients with LVEF < 0.3; 5. Patients with hemodialysis or liver failure; 6. Patients with no sample; 7. Patients who died before AF during hospitalization; 8.patients who refused to participate in or haven't give written informed consent.
