Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. NIDDM was diagnosed according to 1985 standard for at least one year; 2. HBAIC > 8%; 3. Good compliance; 4. No periodontal treatment was carried out within one year before the treatment, no antibiotics were taken within the past three months, no obvious occlusal abnormality was found, at least 15 natural teeth were found in the mouth; 5. The dosage of antidiabetic drugs did not change in the near future; 6. Diagnosis standard of periodontitis: severe periodontitis: X-ray average alveolar bone loss (ABL) > 50% or more than 4 sites detection depth (PD) >=6 mm. Moderate and mild periodontitis: 25% <=ABL < 50% or more than 4 sites 3 mm <=PD < 6 mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with diabetes but unclear periodontitis; with serious other diseases, smoking history, pregnant women, contraceptives, etc; 2. Those who have received periodontal basic treatment; 3. Poor compliance; 4. Patients with diabetes, hyperthyroidism and other systemic diseases that affect bone metabolism; 5. Acute infection stage; 6. The third molar; 7. Others are not suitable for this project.
