40 Years to 69 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Moderate orsevere chronic periodontitis; 2. Aged 35-70 years old; 3. Diagnosed with type 2 DM over 2 years, HbA1c 6.5 to 10%; 4. At least 15 functional teeth remaine; 5. Without receiving periodontal therapy in 6 months; 6. without taking antibiotics in 3 months over 6 days; 7. non-smoking; Not Excessive Drinking.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. systemic compromised; 2. female in pregnancy or lactation; 3. other oral inflammatory condition, tumor,etc.; 4. Allergy to amoxicillin or metronidazole; 5. Prophylactic antibiotics needed.
