Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 18-80 years; 2. Acute ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (onset =2mm; 6. The rate of carotid bifurcation or internal carotid stenosis in the same side of cerebral infarction was less than 70%.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Cardiogenic embolism (atrial fibrillation, patent foramen ovale, thrombus of left auricle, etc.); 2. Other carotid diseases such as aortitis and carotid dissection; 3. Plan to carotid artery stent implantation or CEA; 4. Complete calcification of plaque surface; 5. Unable to complete MRI examination; 6. Expected life <=2 years; 7. Failure to complete follow-up; 8. Other reasons that the researchers think are not suitable.
