Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Admitted within 6 hours of ictus 2. Age must be greater than 18 years 3. Striatocapsular hemorrhage on CT scan with island sign which referred to active bleeding 4. Admitted with GCS score >= 5 and progressive fall in consciousness.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Intracerebral hemorrhage caused by tumor, coagulopathy, aneurysm, or arteriovenous malformation; 2. History of head injury; 3. Presence of chronic heart failure, respiratory insufficiency or renal impairment before surgery; 4. With indications of brain hernia; 5. Poor medical condition and less than 6 months for life expectancy; 6. Pregnancy or breast-feeding women.
