Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. patients were treated with either the lightbulb procedure through direct anterior approach or traditional core decompression; 2. the necrotic area was in the anterior or anterolateral side of the femoral head; 3. the bone graft was autogenous; 4. patients were classified at the ARCO II stage according to ARCO (Association Research Circulation Osseous) classification for ONFH determined by preoperative X-ray and MRI.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they had any of the following: traumatic ONFH, immune disease, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, or ankylosing spondylitis.
