Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Skeletal class II division 1 malocclusion patient from Department of Orthodontics, Ninth People's Hospital, College of Stomatology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. 2. No gender limitation(12-18 years old). 3. Cephalometrics screening criteria:(1)Pog-N-Per>10 mm; (2)ANB > 5 degree; (3)Wit > 5mm; (4)22 degree 5mm;(2) dentition: early permanent teeth; 5. Bone age screening indicators:Cervical vertibra analysis (OReilly, 1988) CVI: II~III (peak growth period).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. A history of congenital, hereditary systemic diseases that may lead to facial deformities. 2. A history of acquired diseases that affect facial development, such as severe facial trauma and infection history. 3. History of temporomandibular joint symptoms (including: history of click, pain, mouth opening limitation, etc.). 4. History of diseases affecting facial development of nasopharyngeal diseases (including adenoid hypertrophy, tonsil hypertrophy, mouth breathing, etc.). 5. Patients with mental illness and other conditions who unable to cooperate with orthodontic treatment. 6. Patients with previous orthodontic treatment history. 7. Patients with significant mandibular deviation (the deviation of the chin point is greater than 3mm). 8. The main cause of the patient is due to excessive maxillary development, and mandibular development is acceptable.
