40 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. confirmed diagnosis of stroke with evidence on MRI or CT; 2. having motor impairments in the upper extremity with a Brunnstrom Stage IV-VI; 3. first-time stroke with or without previous lacunar infarction which resulted in no functional consequences; 4. Aged 40-80 years old; 5. vital signs stable; 6. inpatient rehabilitation status.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. having Parkinsons disease or other neurological conditions causing motor dysfunction; 2. having cognitive (MMSE<24) or auditory (tuning-fork test) impairment; 3. having cancer or severe cardiopulmonary diseases; 4. participating in other research projects; 5. unable to follow commands; 6. having pacemaker placement.
