Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with sleep apnea and pulmonary ventilatory defect diagnosed by polysomnography and spirometry respectively.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if restrictive ventilatory defect, obstructive ventliatory or sleep apnea were diagnosed and treated with inhaled corticosteroid, bronchodilators or positive airway pressure prior to the recruitment.
