Control Group:Fasting 6 hours before operation

Experimental group:Oral carbohydrate 2 hours before operation

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged over 60 years; (2) BMI 18.5 to 23.9 kg/m2; (3) Clear consciousness, language communication, correct expression of ideas and feelings; (4) Ordered the first one of the patients undertaking operation on the day.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with diabetes mellitus and severe infection; (2) Patients with gastric emptying disorders (such as gastroesophageal reflux, chronic history of aspiration, delayed gastric emptying); (3) Renal insufficiency (serum creatinine concentration > 150 umol/L) or liver disease; (4) Maltose and fructose allergy or intolerance; (5) Patients participated in other clinical trials within past three months.
