Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age over 18 years old; 2. The first onset of the disease lasted more than 3 weeks; 3. Unilateral stroke, confirmed by CT or MRI; 4. Patients have poststroke spasticity with a modified Ashworth scale (MAS) score between 1+ and 3; 5. Having good communication ability and absence of cognitive impairment; 6. Voluntary signing of informed consent and willingness to participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with musculoskeletal or other neurological diseases,other than stroke; 2. Cerebellar or brainstem stroke; 3. Used antispasticity drugs or had a local injection of botulinum toxin A within 3 months before enrollment; 4. Had contraindications to rTMS (e.g. with a history of epilepsy or migraine; with cardiac pacemakers, cochlear implants, metal implants in the skull and increased intracranial pressure; pregnancy); 5. Complicated with severe systemic diseases, and unstable vital signs; 6. With peripheral nerve injury, such as diabetic neuropathy.
