Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Criteria for clinically likely vascular dementia that meet the NINDS-AIREN diagnostic criteria: (1) dementia: Clinical presentation: cognitive function is reduced compared with the past, manifested as functional impairment (directionality, attention, language, visual function, executive function, motor function and implementation function) in the cognitive field of memory impairment level; Neuropsychological test: MMSE =7 points; 3. cognitive impairment has a causal relationship with vascular factors; 4. the presence of hyperlipidemia; 5. There is atherosclerotic plaque in carotid ultrasound; 6. Informed consent and independent completion of neuropsychological assessment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Neurodegenerative cognitive disorders (Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, Parkinson's disease dementia, etc.); (2) Cognitive impairment caused by inflammatory and infectious diseases (CJD, AIDS, syphilis, etc.); (3) normal intracranial pressure hydrocephalus, brain tumor, brain trauma, demyelinating diseases of the nervous system; (4) Cognitive impairment caused by systemic diseases (hypothyroidism, vitamin deficiency, etc.); (5) Toxic cognitive impairment (alcoholism, chronic poisoning, etc.); (6) severe dementia (CDR = 3); (7) Depression and other psychiatric symptoms; (8) Those with severe liver and kidney damage.
