7 Years to 60 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 7-60 years who are planed to accept tonsillectomies with or without adenoidectomy from October 1,2019 to June 30, 2020 in The Second Xiangya Hospital.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. obesity with BMI > 35 kg/m2; 2. with underlying infection such as abnormal X-ray of lung or fever needed medicine treatment 3. chronic use of analgesics; 4. any other painful condition with an intensity that could distract the attention from tonsil wound pain; 5. history of hypersensitivity to any local anesthetic; 6. severe renal, liver impairment or severe lung disease; 7. with Adams-Stokes syndrome or ECG abnormal such as pre-excitation syndrome or severe conduction block; 8. with a diagnosis of diabetes or disorder of glucose tolerance; 9. uncooperative due to poor comprehension.
