25 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Male/female patients, aged >25 years; 2. Healthy periodontium and thick gingival biotype with healthy marginal gingiva; 3. Intact facial alveolar bone wall, without bone or soft tissue defects; 4. No untreated carious lesions; 5. Missing anterior (incisor/canine) with healthy adjacent teeth bilaterally; 5. Intact socket following tooth extraction; 7. Useless broken single-tooth with only lingual root fracture caused by trauma.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of systemic disease (excluding well-controlled diabetes); 2. Recent infectious diseases or surgical treatment within 30 days; 3. Smokers (>=10 cigarettes a day); 4. Pregnancy or lactation; 5. Patients on regular medications affecting periodontal healing (e.g. phenytoin, dihydropyridines, calcium antagonists, cyclosporine) or anticoagulant therapy with warfarin, clopidogrel, ticlopine, aspirin; 6. Incomplete labial wall, vertical buccal bone defects > 4 mm after tooth extraction; 7. Presence of pathological lesions around the surgical area.
