Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) being spousal caregivers to elderly patients with advanced cancer; (2) aged 60 years or above; (3) being able to communicate with the researchers; (4) no history of mental illness or severe cognitive dysfunction.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were: (1) participating in other psychological intervention studies; and (2) receiving psychological counseling.
