Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Confirmed type 2 diabetes; 2. Aged >= 20 years, gender no limitation; 3. Single drug metformin treatment after glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) >7.0%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant women, pregnant or lactating women and patients with gestational diabetes mellitus; 2. Suffering from acute complications of diabetes or infections and other stress conditions; 3. Combine all kinds of serious cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases leading to life can not take care of themselves; 4. Patients with other obvious complications, such as: glomerular filtration rate less than 60 ml or liver disease (elevated ALT or AST is 3 times higher than the normal upper limit); 5. Also suffering from other endocrine disorders, such as hyperthyroidism, cortisol hypertrophy; 6. Patients with cancer who are receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
