Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. the elderly patients who is aged over 65 years; 2. severe pneumonia:According to the American Association of Infectious Diseases /American Thoracic Association criteria, severe pneumonia can be diagnosed if it meets one of the main criteria or more than three secondary criteria. main criteria: patients who need mechanical ventilation; septic shock who needs vasopressors; secondary criteria: RR over 30 times per minute; oxygen fraction less than 250; hypothermia; leukopenia; thrombocytopenia, hypotension who need fluid resuscitation; unconsciousness, disorientation; Azotemia.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Apache II less than 8; 2. Pulmonary physiotherapy cannot be performed for various reasons as rib fracture, vertebral fracture and intracranial hypertension; 3. ICU stay less than 48hours; 4. Incomplete clinical data; 5. Lost follow-up.
