2 Years to 15 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Children with normal growth and development, with the age of 2 to 15 years old without intellectual impairment with intermittent exotropia, and the gender is not limited; (2) Best-corrected visual acuity was normal for age or, where uniocular testing is not possible(generally less than 30 months old), central steady maintained fixation when one eye is occluded; (3) Previously untreated intermittent exotropia; (4) parents have the ability to read and understand Chinese; (5) Agree to participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Complicated with other diseases; 2. Constant XT (other than microtropia); 3. Intermittent exotropia where near misalignment is >10 prism dioptres more than the distance misalignment; 4. Patients who are participating in other clinical trials; 5. Families planning to move out of area.
