Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients confirmed as stable COPD with lung-qi deficiency syndrome; patients aged 30 to 70 years; patients without abnormalities of the other systems. No restrictions were defined for parameters such as gender, body temperature, body weight, smoking, and GOLD classification (no significant difference was found performed by paired t-test, p > 0.05).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with other primary pulmonary diseases; patients diagnosed with diseases of the other systems; COPD patients with other syndromes except for lung-qi deficiency (Kawayama et al. 2016).
