Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: In the first part women were diagnosed with GDM using plasma glucose (PG) cut-offs of the American Diabetes Association (ADA): fasting PG>=5.1mmol/l; hPG>=10.0mmol/l; 2h-PG>=8.5mmol/l (American Diabetes Association, 2010) and 24–28 weeks pregnant, had adequate Chinese-speaking and writing ability. The second part inclusion criteria are the same as those of the first part except adding that they have sufficient Chinese and writing abilities.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: In the first part exclusion criteria were BF contraindications, congenital disease of the neonate which makes them unfit for BF. Additionally, women in NCBT group who didnt receive a complete intervention would be excluded. The second part exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were the same as those of the first part. In addition, women who did not receive full intervention in the intervention group were excluded.
