Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) patients with NAFLD in China, aged 18-70 years; (2) fatty liver diagnosed by imaging examination or biopsy; (3) IDEAL-IQ measures liver fat content >=10%; (4) patients who informed and agreed to participate in this study and insisted on intervention and follow-up.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) postmenopausal, pregnant and lactating women, and women who intend to become pregnant during the study; (2) severe liver disease (including the co-occurrence of chronic persistent hepatitis, Wilson's disease, cirrhosis, liver cancer or hepatitis b virus surface antigen, the concentration of alanine aminotransferase or aspartate aminotransferase is 5 times higher than the normal upper limit); (3) patients with hypothyroidism, lipid metabolism disorders, congenital metabolic abnormalities, who are receiving parenteral nutrition support, and bile duct diseases; (4) severe organic diseases (tumor, coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, stroke, kidney disease); (5) having infectious diseases (tuberculosis and AIDS); (6) history of severe mental illness 6 months before enrollment; (7) the weight has been significantly reduced in the past 6 months; (8) patients after gastrointestinal surgery (except appendicitis and hernia surgery); (9) taking antioxidants, milk thistles, omega-3 fatty acids, probiotics, multivitamins and mineral preparations in the past 3 months; (10) patients who had taken drugs (such as amiodarone, antiviral drugs, aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids, methotrexate, tamoxifen, tetracycline, valproic acid, etc.) for liver injury within 3 months; (11) had been taking medication for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease or nonalcoholic fatty hepatitis for 2 months; (12) weekly ethanol amount >=140g (female >=70g); (13) the daily dietary intake 4200kcal; (14) patients unable to perform MRI examination due to physical reasons (such as claustrophobia and metal objects).
