Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) progression to end-stage renal disease; (2) the basic rhythm was sinus rhythm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: congenital heart disease, hypertensive heart disease, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy of any other non-renal origin, heart-block (left or right branch block, ventricular pre-excitation syndromes and so on), pacemaker implantation, having an acute myocardial infarction or acute heart failure recently or before, regional wall motion abnormality detected by echocardiography, severe hypertension, moderate and severe anemia, incomplete clinical data, and unsatisfactory echocardiographic images.
